Lenin's Mausoleum and the Red Square                                                                                                                  Close Close to the walls of the Kremlin and flanked by St. Basil's Catherdral and the National Museum, is Lenin's final resting
place. Contained within this mausoleum is the father of Communism. He lies in a glass tank under constant armed guard. The
mausoleum is open to visitors but you are not permitted to take photographs. Stalin is believed to have had Lenin's brain removed
and stored as the ultimate preservation of his Communist ideology.
