The National Museum - Moscow                                                                                                                                Close The imposing National Museum beside the Red Square, Moscow The National Museum or State Historical Museum in the Red Square, Moscow, was built between 1875 and 1881.
It was built by Architect V. Sherwood and opened in 1894 by Tsar Alexander III. It has a lavish interior and depicts the
beginnings of Russia and how the country was formed, reformed and evolved. There are plenty of interesting artifacts and
exhibits to to see.
