Our Cabin on the Trans-Siberian Express
Close
5,772 Miles, 8 time zones and 7 days of travel time makes up the Tran-Siberian Express. The classic route, which runs between
Moscow and Vladivostok, was built between 1891 and 1916. Our journey was infact on the Trans-Mongolian. We started in St.
Petersburg, catching the Midnight Express to Moscow. Then 2 days train ride to Ekaterinburg which is where the last Tsar
(Nicholas II) and his family were killed by the Bolsheviks after the Revolution of 1917. From Ekaterinburg it was 3 more nights
on the train towards Irkutsk and Lake Baikal. From there it was down to Mongolia and Ulaan Baatar and then into China and
completing our journey in Beijing.
